Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Buah Sawo Manila (Achras zapota L.) dengan Berbagai Cairan Penyari Terhadap Salmonella typhimurium
Abstract
Sapodilla fruit manila (Achras zapota L.) is a plant that has potential as a natural medicine. Some literature reported that this fruit was used as a medicine for fever typhoidal. This study aims to determine: the effect solvents were used in for extraction process of manila sapodilla fruit against the growth of the bacterium Salmonella typhimurium. The concentration of the extract can inhibit the growth of bacteria Salmonella typhimurium and Rf values which may provide an antibacterial effect. Type of research is experimental research using multilevel maceration. The results of this study showed that the phytochemical screening test result; n-hexane extracts contain steroids and phenolic; ethyl-acetate extract containing steroids and phenolic; 70% ethanol extract containing triterpenoids, phenolics and alkaloids. Antibacterial activity test was performed using agar diffusion method and TLC Bioautography. Different method show that a concentration of 1% w/v, 5% w/v and 10% w/v obtained yield; n-hexane extracts there is no inhibition zone; the ethyl acetate extract 6,5 mm, 8,8 mm and 11,6 mm; 70% ethanol extract inhibition zone present in a concentration of 5% w/v and 10% w/v is 6,5 mm and 8,4 mm. Bioautography TLC analysis was not inhibitory zone.
